Cellular Car Mounts Review

Cellular Car Mounts Review appeared first on DiscountCell Reviews.

It’s pretty wide spread knowledge that using your phone while driving is a bad idea. While we know almost everyone knows this, we also know it’s difficult to keep your hands off your phone when there are helpful apps available, music to listen to, maps to look at. Car mounts keep your phone available and secure so you can access your music, maps, voice assistants, and whatever else you need. We checked out 4 mounts and tested their grip strength on the phone, strength of the suction mount, portability and if they can handle a phablet.

The first mount we checked out was the Scosche MagicMount. This mount is unique, as it uses a magnets to hold the phone in place. A very thin metal plate attaches to the back of your phone or case and attaches to any magnetized surface, even if the plate is attached to the phone and you have a case over it. The mount attaches to your dash with adhesive and the magnetized mounting area can be positioned however you need. The phone itself, then, can be placed in whatever orientation you need as well, making this the most customizable mount. It is not portable, however. The strength of the magnet is very strong and holds any phone securely. It can handle any size phone and, as an added bonus, the metal plate can be placed anywhere that is magnetized, not just the mount.

The second mount we looked at is the Naztech Dashboard View Mount. This mount is 100% portable. The base is a gel-filled pack with anti-slip grip material on the bottom, making it solid and secure. The mount is attached to a ratcheting bar with a suction cup on the end of it. This allows you to mount it to either the dash base or the windshield. The ratcheting bar can be moved in any direction and in any position. The clamp that holds the phone is strong and fit a Galaxy Note, which means it can hold pretty much any phone. For larger phones, however, you may have to remove the case to make it fit.

The third mount is the iOttie Easy Car Mount One Touch XL. This is obviously made for larger phone or phones with rugged cases. It has a one-touch button release and the clamp holds the phone extremely well. In order to compensate for the weight of a large phone, the suction cup is also oversized, giving it more surface area to grab onto the dash or the windshield. The mounting head can be positioned in any direction. For a large phone, this is a great option.

The last mount in this review is the Tackform Ultragrip. Overall, this one is the highest rated by users. It can be attached to the windshield or dash and the suction cup is one of the best – it will hold in extreme heat and cold and over bumpy roads. The clamp opens to accommodate phones from 2 inches to 3.4 inches, which includes almost all phones, even the Galaxy Note family. Phones will fit with their cases as well. The grip tension can be adjusted, impressing us with the strength of the grip. Tackform included two stabilizing bars – this mount will last forever.
