At first glance the Belkin Air Protect looks a lot like the Speck iGuy without the arms and feet.

However, the Belkin Air Protect is much lighter than the Speck iGuy and does not add nearly as much bulk.

Also, although the Belkin Air Protect is made out of EVA foam, the case does not scratch or tear easily.

Perhaps the Belkin Air Protect’s most interesting feature is it’s adhesive-resistant surface.  Tape, stickers, and other adhesive products do not stick to the Belkin Air Protect.  This is a particularly useful quality for schools who want to prevent students from vandalizing school tablets.

The Belkin Air Protect’s thick EVA foam offers a high level of drop protection.

The thick EVA foam of the Belkin Air Protect provides a very high level of drop and shock protection.  With the Belkin Air Protect installed, the iPad Air can withstand drops up to several feet and stay protected while thrown into a backpack or desk.

One of the downsides of the Belkin Air Protect for iPad Air is the fact that the case does not offer any screen protection.  To address this issue, I recommend pairing the Belkin Air Protect with a good adhesive screen protector.

Also, the Belkin Air Protect does not protect against dust or water damage.

The Belkin Air Protect for iPad Air is a great accessory for kids.  The case offers high levels of durable drop protection, is easy to install, and does not scratch or adhere to stickers.  However, if you are looking for more thorough protection or for a more professional look, I recommend investing in either an OtterBox or LifeProof case.
