Protection
The Speck Durafolio was designed for rough environments.  The outer shell is textured to provide grip for slippery hands and protection from grime.  The outer shell is also water resistant providing some protection from spills and moisture.  The case is rated to meet or exceed Military drop specs so a tablet accidentally dropped from a desk or standing student should survive without damage.

Stand
The built in folio stand on the Durafolio is convenient and provides multiple viewing angles.  The folio protective cover doubles as a multi angle stand in both typing and viewing mode.  In viewing mode, the tablet can be adjusted to a broad range of angles limited only by the size of the cover.  The build quality of stand joints is solid and will handle years of use.  In addition, the folio stand has an auto wake/sleep feature built in.  When the folio stand is closed, the tablet is automatically put in sleep mode saving battery life.  When the folio stand is opened the tablet wakes automatically.

Accessory Compatibility
The Speck Durafolio worked flawlessly with all accessories we tested on it.  The case adds a mere .3″ to the size of the tablet allowing it to easily fit into charging carts or stands.  The port opening allows the use of aftermarket and OEM cable connections and wired keyboards.  The opening for the headset connection fit any straight headset connector we tried.  The case fits well into the Belkin Secure Wired Keyboard with built in stand and other similar accessories.

Convenience
Overall, if a folio case is the design of preference, the Durafolio is a great choice.  One advantage top folios offer over other designs is the wake/sleep feature that can have a significant impact on battery life.  The auto sleep feature when the cover is closed keeps the tablet from staying on when not in use.  The only weakness for the Durafolio and the education market is the lack of a clear back for asset tagging.  The case is tough, well built, and current users place repeat orders when adding or updating tablets.  With the access to all ports, the built in stand, screen protection with built in wake/sleep function and compatibility with charging carts, the Durafolio is a great choice for schools interested in a folio style case.
